Energy Efficiency and Indoor Air Quality Analysis

Our services include Energuide ratings for new homes and Air Quality Analysis and Testing.  At EnerVibe, our mission is to create Energy Efficient, Healthy Buildings while helping you maximize your government rebates.  We do this by helping home buyers and builders make improvements to the building envelope and mechanical systems, ensuring adequate ventilation and reducing contaminant sources.  We perform Energuide Ratings for homes in Alberta, including Calgary, Red Deer, Edmonton, Lethbridge, and surrounding areas.

ENERGUIDE RATINGS AND REBATESEnergy Efficiency Logo
Looking for rebates for a newly built home?  We are fully trained and Certified Energy Advisors for Natural Resources Canada Energuide Program for New Homes, with experience computer modeling hundreds of homes for Energy Efficiency.  Our years of experience has allowed us to develop methods to analyze homes quickly and accurately, and keeping the cost to the homeowner or builder very reasonable.  If you are building a new home, or have just moved into a newly-built home, call us to find out if you qualify for an
Alberta provincial government grant of between $1,500 to $10,000 for Energy Efficiency.  You may also qualify for a CMHC mortgage insurance premium rebate of 10% for Energuide ratings 80 or over.  Townhomes achieve a much higher Energuide rating than detached homes, and therefore have a much better chance of qualifying for a rebate.  Find out more about how your Energuide ratings for your townhome could be worth a few thousand dollars in rebates.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY CONSULTING
BUILDERS - We can help you make your homes more energy efficient to save your customers money on their utility bills, and help them get a rebate.  Homeowners are educating themselves about energy efficiency issues, and are starting to look to builders to provide leadership.  We can show you how to build houses that achieve Energuide ratings of 77 or higher.  Federal and local governments are looking to mandate a minimum energy efficiency rating in the near future, so you will be ahead of the curve.

HOME BUYERS - would you like to find out how to improve the Energy Efficiency of your house?  We can help.  By using sophisticated software, we analyze your home's characteristics, identifying upgrades that will have the biggest impact on your energy usage and the Energuide Rating.

AIR QUALITY INVESTIGATIONS
Do you suspect an indoor air quality problem in your home?  Mold spores, dust, VOCs, formaldehyde, carbon monoxide, and a host of other contaminants can cause headaches, sore throat, blocked sinuses, joint pain and fatigue, and are common triggers of Asthma attacks.  Often these symptoms are mistaken for flu, cold or other illnesses.  Following the CMHC Air Quality Investigation protocol, we identify potential sources of chemical and biological contaminants, and provide a full report, with prioritized recommendations for improving air quality.  While we don't recommend mold testing as a first resort to tackling indoor air quality problems, we offer mold air testing if a problem is suspected or a homeowner wishes to do so for peace of mind.  Please check out our pricing packages for Air Quality Investigations and Mold Air Sampling.  Ask us about optional VOC testing.

BLOWER DOOR TESTINGEnergy Rebates Blower Door Test
Find out how airtight your home is with a blower door test.  We depressurize the building, and check for leakage areas, while also taking readings to determine the building's air change rate.

THERMAL IMAGING
Using a thermal imaging camera (infrared), we can determine moisture levels and insulation levels in the building envelope.
